Background
Presently, I fly as Captain on a G550 (Falcon 900B and 900EX experience) with US News and World Report based (14 years+) in Teterboro flying globally. My tasks included, but not limited to international captain duties, flight department operations in chief pilot’s absence, LOA’s, TSA waivers, training schedules and more. I also fly as A G550 Captain under a Charter Managed agreement with Executive Jet Management (EJM). The EJM association has me operating under 135 Charter to Worldwide destinations.
Previously, I flew Falcon 900’s Globally and Hawker 800’s for Amway Corporation within North/Central Americas and the Caribbean. I am experienced with Honeywell and Collins EFIS, as well as Honeywell and Universal FMS. I was also responsible for Amway’s Operation Manual, its editing, publishing and distribution (100+recipients).
Prior to Amway, I was a Hawker 800, Hawker 1000 and Jet Stream 4100 Simulator Instructor for Reflectone Training Center. My duties included Honeywell EFIS and FMS instruction. I provided Initial, Upgrade, Recurrent, and Transition training to clients (domestic and foreign) as well as operating the simulator for FAA Type rides.
Prior to Reflectone, American Property Services (APS) employed me as a pilot flying a Hawker 700 and Mitsubishi Diamond 1A. I was based at Washington Dulles International Airport. There we operated company travel and charter operations for Page Flight. I was hired as a First Officer and one year later promoted to Captain on our Hawker 700. I remained with APS until both aircraft were sold, delivered and the flight department closed.
I spent a short period employed with Goodyear Tire and Rubber as a Retail Sales Manager. There I assisted the Store Manager, in our Crystal City, VA, store with the daily operations of automotive sales and service. While this opportunity was outside my primary field of desired employment, it still provided valuable managerial, sales and most important interpersonal experience.
I was involved with a number of aviation companies prior to Goodyear. I spent time as a Captain with Metro Express II Airlines DBA Starlite Express. There we operated Shorts SD3-30 carrying overnight/express cargo for Federal Express, UPS, and Airborne Express. We operated both scheduled and unscheduled FAR 135 operation in the East/North East US.
Leading into Starlite I flew for Ram Air Freight. Ram was based in Raleigh, NC and operated aircraft in support of the “Monetary Float” for the US Federal Reserve. I was hired as an Office Manager and was able to gain line pilot experience. I performed daily/weekly statistical operation reporting to the owners as office manager. I also performed duties as a line pilot flying scheduled and unscheduled operations for the US Federal Reserve.
I was also employed with Hawthorne Service and was based at Fort Meade, MD as a Flight Instructor. We flew training missions in support of the US Naval Academy. We provided primary flight training prescreening for the Midshipman at the Naval Academy who were selected to receive further formal flight training through the US Navy.
